Tanna Espy Miller

The most common description of Tanna is “she is always drawing”.  Winning her first art contest at age 4, Tanna’s vision for achievement began to grow.  High school brought national competition then eventually the portfolio merit scholarship to The Memphis College of Art.  Her performance there placed her at the top of her class and in Who’s Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Skills in illustration and designing with fabric made  a winning combination as Tanna began her own window treatment specialty business at a young age.  Gradually adding specific training and certification in interior design, the business grew to a new level.

Tanna’s client’s frequently speak about the things that set her apart. “You are usually here RIGHT ON THE DOT?  aren’t you?”, one homeowner asked (not knowing Tanna is the first born child of a Naval officer:  punctuality is standard).  The love of fine things never occurred to Tanna in her early years and still never equals her love of design. This makes for an open mind and a willing spirit to help find solutions.
She has earned a reputation as an advocate and reliable business person just as much as a creative thinker.

Tanna has been sought out for her creativity by a wide variety of people which has resulted in interesting projects such as  furniture design for Sun Isle, manufacturer of outdoor furniture, and writing  “Ask A Designer” a question and answer column for Greater Nashville House &  Home &  Garden TM.  Anywhere drawing, designing, and communicating is involved Tanna excels.

Looking for new horizons, Tanna is currently writing Style Your Way Home,  a book for homeowners to focus their  decisions to make outstanding interiors. The release is set for late in 2007.  Other books on window treatment design and motifs for children’s interiors are in the note book stage.

New merchandise and Tanna’s own bedding are coming soon to the web site.  Never finished and always up to a challenge, Tanna seeks new inspiration to continue growing as a designer.
